Cost: 
$25 for all participants - will receive a race t-shirt, a race bib (unchipped bib for adults and chipped for children and RFK alumni), a race "swag" bag and post-race refreshments. Price increases on Nov. 1st to $30.  Race day registration is $35.  


T-Shirt: 
T-shirt is guaranteed to those who register prior to November 1st. 


Bib Numbers:
Only RFK participants, children and RFK alumni will receive time chipped bib #'s - all other participants will receive a non-chipped bib. Finish times will not be recorded for adults. We want to recognize the efforts of the children. 


Course Map:
Coaches will email course map at least 1-week prior to the event.

Packet Pick-up: 
If you registered prior to Nov. 1st your packet will be delivered to their child's school. Otherwise packets may be picked up at Metro Run & Walk (7261 Commerce St, Springfield, VA) on Friday, Nov. 16th from 12noon - 6PM OR on Saturday, Nov 17th at TBD from 6:45 - 7:30AM (we will shut down packet pick-up promptly at 7:30AM)

Inclement Weather Plan:
In case of rain and thunderstorms on race day (or significant rain or Acts of God prior to race day) we will enact the following safety measures, which will help keep our athletes safe.  Our goal is to do everything in our power to host a complete race.  We will delay or shorten the race course only if necessary.  Cancellation is our very last resort and will only be considered after all of the following measures have been reviewed.  

  • In the case of only rain or clear weather we will plan for an on-time start and complete race as planned.
  • In the case of only rain or clear weather but parts of the course are no longer safe we will adjust the course and plan for an on-time start.
  • In the case of lightening we will delay the race start to at least 30minutes after the last lightening strike.  We will not race on a course if lightening is present, but will continue the race when lightening ceases and has moved out of the immediate area up until 8:45AM.  We are only permitted until 10:00AM, so if we cannot safely start by 8:45AM the race will be cancelled.  
  • In the case of prolonged lightening and storms in the area, we may need to cancel the entire race.  
  • If inclement weather is predicted we may adjust the race course, race distances or eliminate segments of the race so to keep athletes safe and close to our race HQ. 
  • We do not provide refunds for cancelled races.
