Parents Train to Run the RunFit Kidz 5K

Planning on running the Celebration 5K with your child? Then you are in the right place! RunFit Kidz embraces all levels of running and the parent training program is no different. Whether you have never run before, haven't run in years, or are currently running - this eight week training program will work for you.

Throughout the program, we will concentrate on training properly for the 5K, nutrition and include strength and flexibility workouts. The training plan includes a run/walk option and plenty of opportunities to build endurance. While we will meet as a group each week, the overall training plan will accommodate individual needs as much as possible.

We plan to meet on Thursdays in the evening and Friday's in the morning - both classes will be held at Byron Run Park (morning or evening, choose what fits your schedule!) and you will receive a workout plan for the days we do not meet. Yes, that means you get to do some "homework"!

For the cost of registration- $95, you will receive:
• Instruction from a Certified Running and Health Coach
• Fully designed training program with online access to the plan
• Entry to the Celebration 5K*

Two Offerings:

Class 1: Thursday Evenings beginning March 21st - May 16th

Class 2: Friday Mornings beginning March 22nd - May 17th

Time: Morning Session, 9:30 - 10:45AM

Evening Session, 6:15 - 7:45PM

*We know you will work hard in training to run the 5K with your child. Please keep in mind that the race is still about the kids and only the kids will receive a chip-timed bib and a medal. No worries, we will have something special for all your hard work during our last class!
